Summary: HealthPartners is a nonprofit, integrated health care organization that provides health insurance and high-quality care. They are seeking an Administrative Intern/Fellow to support their Primary Care team by managing projects and providing analysis and recommendations on operational activities. Responsibilities: - Help prepare students to relate and apply what they have learned in a classroom setting to a health care organization while directly managing projects to support the mission and objectives of Park Nicollet Health Services - Expose students to management activities and work to provide analysis and recommendations on key operational activities on care process design and/or financial impact - Identify what the intern/fellow needs for professional development and build a resume attractive for career advancement while contributing to the organization’s achieving its objectives Required Qualifications: - Intern: Must be enrolled in and in 1st year of a higher education program for health care administration - Fellow: Must be in 2nd year of a higher education program for health care administration - Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure ability to support service line leaders and administrative leaders - Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite of products, Excel Spreadsheet experience beneficial to completing work, computer skills for creating reports, graphs, charts and supporting documentation Required Skills: Health care administration, Microsoft Office proficiency Important Skills: Excel Spreadsheet experience Nice-to-Have Skills: Age-related growth knowledge, Computer skills Benefits: Medical insurance, Dental insurance, A retirement program, Time away from work, Insurance options, Tuition reimbursement, An employee assistance program, Onsite clinic, Much more
