Work setting: clinic-based travel assignment in an acute inpatient care context

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for adult and geriatric inpatients, including orthopedics/joint replacement post-operative patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve activities of daily living, mobility, and functional independence.
- Perform therapeutic interventions focused on improving strength, range of motion, dexterity, balance, and ADLs; promote safe functional goals and discharge readiness.
- Document progress and plan in EPIC EMR; communicate findings with the care team; adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Provide education to patients and families on goals, home exercise programs, and adaptive strategies; participate in discharge planning and coordination with multidisciplinary staff.
- Maintain compliance with license requirements, BLS, and facility policies; participate in rounds and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff.
Requirements
- Active Ohio OT license and registry (cannot be in process)
- BLS certification required
- 2 years of Acute Care experience preferred
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
