Summary: HD Supply is a company seeking a Sales Operations Intern to support its sales organization through strategic direction, data-driven insights, and operational support. The intern will analyze information, develop recommendations, support sales enablement and process improvements, and partner with cross-functional teams to improve sales efficiency and execution.
Responsibilities:
- Translate complex information into clear, actionable recommendations that help sales leaders focus on the highest‑impact opportunities
- Provide responsive, high‑quality support for evolving business needs that enable confident decision‑making
- Execute analyses and initiatives that help align sellers to customers’ needs, enabling more effective sales engagement
- Contribute to sales enablement efforts, including process documentation, guidelines, and internal communications
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to support initiatives that improve sales efficiency and execution
- Prepare concise presentations and summaries to communicate insights, decisions, and next steps
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, or communication that help sellers work more effectively
- Prepares and delivers insights and recommendations based on analyses
- Produces findings and draws conclusions from analyses. Makes oral and written recommendations to management
- Executes tasks directly related to functional projects and/or process improvements
- Communicates issues and roadblocks related to areas of responsibility
- May assist in research or special projects in a variety of areas in order to fulfill business initiatives and meet business objectives
- Works in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly defined problems. Demonstrates skill in data analysis and techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in routine research/data
- Nature of work requires general supervision; exercises judgment. May be paired with a mentor. Work typically involves regular process checks or review of output by a coworker and/or supervisor
- May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel
Required Qualifications:
- • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Economics, Management, Marketing, or a related field
- • Graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028
- • Experience working with data, analysis, or business problem‑solving through coursework, projects, or internships
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- • Strong communication skills and ability to synthesize information
- • Interest in supporting sales teams and improving business operations
- • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Certification may be required in some areas. Generally 0-2 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 0-1 year of experience in a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- • Exposure to reporting, dashboards, or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- • Familiarity with CRM systems or sales tools (e.g., Salesforce)
- • Coursework or experience in operations, analytics, or project management
- • Interest in translating insights into business actions
