Job Summary
Design and enhance software for advanced test and automation systems used in manufacturing and inspection environments. Develop software solutions for capital equipment, factory information systems, and machine vision applications. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to solve complex system and perception-related challenges. Contribute to global software development initiatives while supporting on-site operations in North Reading, MA. Drive innovation in machine vision, computer vision, and image processing technologies for automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain high-performance software applications using C# .NET and Visual Studio. Design distributed and multi-threaded systems that support scalable automation and vision-based solutions. Work with machine vision technologies, optical systems, and image processing algorithms to improve system capabilities. Partner with cross-functional and international teams to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues. Support equipment integration, factory automation projects, and occasional domestic and international travel.
Skill Requirements
10+ years of software development experience with C# .NET, Windows applications, and object-oriented design. Strong expertise in distributed systems, multi-threaded programming, and AI-assisted software development tools. Hands-on experience in machine vision, computer vision, image processing, geometrical optics, and lens selection. Knowledge of linear algebra, commercial vision software products, semiconductor testing, or industrial automation is highly desirable. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and adaptability skills in fast-paced engineering environments.
