Job Description
Summary: Harris Teeter is a retail company seeking a Part Time Bagger. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure customer satisfaction by following proper bagging procedures and assisting customers with their purchases.
Responsibilities:
- Take Excellent Care Of Our Customers by satisfying each customer's needs, exceeding their expectations, and making every shopping visit a pleasant and satisfying experience
- Follow correct bagging procedures
- Provide carryout and parcel pickup service
- Load merchandise into customer vehicles
- Return shopping carts into the store
Required Qualifications:
- Associates must be at least 16 years of age
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos [in English]
- Ability to write simple correspondence [in English]
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization who only speak English
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Complete Company's training including but not limited to: new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, bagger technical skills, and product knowledge
- The individual is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and smell
- The individual is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch
- The individual must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and reach from 6 to 72 inches
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception
