Job Description
Summary: Hamilton Company is a worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of manual, semi-automated and robotic products for precision fluid measuring. The Electrical Engineer Intern is responsible for assisting the department with various projects including designing, developing, testing, and implementing product components.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in planning and performing design development tasks from concept to implementation
- Responsible for studying and evaluating disciplinary or interdisciplinary aspects of new product or design concepts
- Assisting with planning and testing necessary to assure adequate performance of designs for all stages of design and development, or complexity
- Assisting with completing adequate documentation of the performed task including description, specification, testing and implementation
Required Qualifications:
- Must have demonstrated strong analytical skills
- Able to interpret data, generate graphs, and visually communicate test results
- Understanding of basic programming logic and electrical circuit principles
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as required to interface with other departments and company personnel in a service function
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Must be able to work part-time (20 hours approx.) Monday through Friday. (Hamilton will adjust working hours to work with Academic Schedule.) During summer break you will be expected to work 40 hours per week
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Science, Engineering program at University of Nevada, Reno
