Summary: Hachette Book Group is a leading book publisher offering a summer internship program that provides individuals an opportunity to learn about the publishing industry. As a Manufacturing Intern, you will assist manufacturing staff with various tasks, gain hands-on experience, and participate in educational sessions and networking opportunities. Responsibilities: - Assist Manufacturing staff in scheduling printings, estimating print jobs, issuing Purchase Orders, trafficking materials, and reviewing printed samples for quality - Develop relationships with printers, colleagues in other Hachette offices, as well as NY-based Editorial and Design staff - Attend bi-weekly and monthly manufacturing meetings with local New York staff as well as colleagues in our other offices Required Qualifications: - Interested in exploring a career in book publishing - Self-starter with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills - Have a natural curiosity about the bookmaking process - Possess a great attitude and a desire to learn as well as excellent organizational skills - Ability to work collaboratively with a team and contribute insights - Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and InDesign a plus Important Skills: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, InDesign Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer Benefits: Company laptop will be provided for the duration of the program., Educational sessions featuring speakers from all departments of the company, Networking and career development opportunities.
