Are you an experienced personal trainer who’s ready to make a bigger impact?

GYMGUYZ Ventura County is looking for a highly skilled, motivated Master Personal Trainer who delivers exceptional client results, builds lasting relationships, and has the drive to grow into a leadership role.

This isn’t just another personal training position. You’ll work directly with clients in their homes, conduct fitness assessments, help prospective clients begin their fitness journeys, and serve as a trusted resource for our growing trainer team.

You'll also play an active role in growing our local client base through sales, community outreach, networking, and relationship building.

This is a business-building opportunity, not a position with an established, fully booked client schedule. Initially, your work may include a combination of personal training, fitness assessments, lead follow-up, community marketing, business development, and administrative responsibilities. As the client base grows, opportunities for additional training hours and leadership responsibilities may expand.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride not only in their own success, but also in helping their clients, teammates, and the business succeed.

What You’ll Do

Deliver Exceptional Personal Training

· Provide high-quality, personalized 1:1 and semi-private training in clients’ homes and other approved locations.

· Design safe, creative, results-driven fitness programs tailored to individual goals, abilities, and needs.

· Work confidently with a diverse clientele, including older adults, beginners, and individuals with varying fitness and mobility abilities.

· Build strong client relationships through professionalism, encouragement, accountability, and consistent communication.

· Monitor progress, conduct reassessments, and help clients stay engaged with their fitness goals.

Conduct Assessments & Drive Client Growth

· Lead initial fitness assessments and consultations with prospective clients.

· Build trust, identify client needs, and confidently recommend appropriate training programs.

· Communicate the value of personalized training and comfortably guide clients through purchasing decisions.

· Recognize opportunities to support client retention, renewals, and long-term success.

· Manage prospective clients through the sales pipeline, from initial consultation and follow-up to enrollment and onboarding.

· Maintain timely communication with prospects through phone calls, text messages, and approved client management systems.

· Track leads, follow-up activities, client information, and sales opportunities using CRM and scheduling applications.

· Contribute to sales and conversion goals while recognizing opportunities to support client retention, renewals, and long-term success.

Support Local Marketing & Business Development

· Actively participate in growing the GYMGUYZ Ventura County client base through local marketing, lead generation, and community outreach.

· Attend community events, networking opportunities, fitness demonstrations, and promotional activities.

· Help establish and maintain referral relationships with complementary businesses, wellness professionals, and community organizations.

· Identify opportunities for local partnerships, new client introductions, and community-based fitness programs.

· Collaborate with ownership and the marketing team to support outreach initiatives, follow up on leads, and convert opportunities into clients.

· Represent the GYMGUYZ brand professionally while helping expand local awareness and visibility.

Support & Inspire Our Trainer Team

· Lead by example by demonstrating exceptional training quality, reliability, and professionalism.

· Share knowledge, mentor fellow trainers, and support their professional development.

· Help onboard new trainers and reinforce GYMGUYZ training standards and operating procedures.

· Communicate constructively, provide feedback, and help resolve routine client or trainer concerns.

· Contribute to a collaborative, supportive, and accountable team culture.

Grow Into Leadership & Operational Responsibilities

As you develop in the role, you’ll have opportunities to take greater ownership of responsibilities such as:

· Coordinating trainer assignments, client introductions, and smooth transitions.

· Supporting client satisfaction, retention, and renewal follow-up.

· Helping manage trainer communication, scheduling coordination, and client concerns.

· Monitoring assessments, client progress, and follow-through on important action items.

· Supporting day-to-day team operations and identifying opportunities to improve processes.

We value individuals who recognize what needs to be done, take initiative, solve problems thoughtfully, and follow through without needing constant direction.

Professional Experience & Qualifications

You’ll bring a nationally recognized personal training certification, current CPR/AED certification, and at least 3 years of professional personal training experience, ideally including experience working alongside, mentoring, or supporting other trainers.

You have a strong foundation in exercise programming, functional movement, strength training, and safe exercise modifications. You’re comfortable working with clients of different ages, abilities, and fitness levels and can adapt your approach to meet their individual needs.

Experience in corrective exercise, senior fitness, adaptive fitness, or hands-on assisted stretching is highly desirable. A background as a Flexologist, Stretch Practitioner, or similar role with a provider such as StretchLab is a strong advantage.

You have experience conducting fitness consultations, recommending appropriate training programs, and selling personal training services. You are confident discussing pricing, responding professionally to objections, and helping prospective clients make informed purchasing decisions.

You are comfortable managing client communications and sales follow-up using phone calls, text messages, scheduling tools, and CRM systems. Strong organization, responsiveness, and follow-through are essential.

Who Will Thrive with GYMGUYZ Ventura County?

You’ll be a great fit if you’re someone who:

· Takes genuine pride in delivering exceptional client experiences.

· Enjoys building relationships and helping people achieve meaningful results.

· Is confident discussing fitness programs and guiding clients toward purchasing decisions.

· Is proactive about generating opportunities and building a client base

· Enjoys mentoring others and contributing to a strong team culture.

· Communicates clearly, follows through on commitments, and takes ownership without constant reminders.

· Sees challenges as opportunities to find solutions.

· Is comfortable working independently and traveling between client locations.

· Wants to grow professionally and earn greater leadership responsibility.

This role is best suited for someone who wants to do more than manage their own training schedule. If you’re excited about combining hands-on coaching with client relationships, business growth, and future leadership opportunities, we’d love to meet you.
