Job Description
Summary: Guidewire Software is at the forefront of helping insurers adapt and succeed in a time of accelerating change. They are seeking an AI UX Design Intern to craft AI-driven interactions and design intelligent experiences, working alongside experienced UX designers and researchers.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze user-AI interactions to improve accuracy, personalization, and outcomes in generative AI experiences
- Collaborate with PMs, designers, and engineers to integrate agentic capabilities into product workflows
- Develop, test, and refine AI prompts to optimize interactions between users and AI-driven features
- Explore generative AI and ML based applications to enhance UX workflows, design automation, and improve system responses
- Stay up-to-date on emerging AI trends in UX, human-AI interaction, and prompt engineering
- Create user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to depict AI-driven experiences
- Collaborate with designers and PMs to translate user research into intuitive interactions
- Use generative AI design tools to drive your ideation
- Plan and conduct user research to understand how AI-driven features impact user experience
- Use qualitative and quantitative methods such as desk research, usability testing, interviews, surveys, and heuristic evaluations
- Analyze research data to inform UX design strategies
- Communicate findings through reports, presentations, and experience-focused artifacts
Required Qualifications:
- Passion for AI, UX, and research—you're curious about how AI can enhance human-computer interaction
- Experience with AI models, machine learning, or AI prompt engineering (personal projects, coursework, or internships)
- Basic knowledge of UX research methodologies (usability testing, surveys, interviews, etc.)
- Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and tools (Figma, prototyping tools, or similar)
- Strong analytical and communication skills—you can translate complex design concepts into human-friendly language
- Degree Preferred: Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree in AI, human-computer interaction, UX design, computer science, cognitive science, psychology, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement
