Job Description
Summary: Guidepoint is a leading research enablement platform focused on providing actionable insights for the healthcare industry. The Healthcare Data Analyst role involves analyzing diverse healthcare datasets to generate market insights and improve data processes, while also supporting the development of data products.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and production of Alpha’s Med Device analytics and data products by working with diverse healthcare and purchasing datasets
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to generate differentiated market insights and inform product improvements
- Perform data preparation, transformation, and validation to create repeatable, high-quality analytic inputs
- Develop and execute quantitative analyses and models (time-series, regression, classification, or similar) to answer product and client questions
- Automate routine data tasks and contribute to improvements in analytic processes and tooling
- Stay current on market and company information (news, filings, public data) to support analysis and interpretation
- Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with a preference for majors in Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience working with large panel/panel-style datasets; finance, healthcare, or MedTech experience is a plus
- Strong technical skills (SQL/Snowflake, Excel, Python/Pandas) or equivalent analytic tooling
- Must have a passion for solving complex big data problems and a willingness to learn new technologies and tools
- Experience with data preparation and validation, and a demonstrated interest in automating and improving data processes
- Familiarity or strong interest in the healthcare sector
- Ability to work efficiently with team members to assess needs, provide support, and think critically
- Strong verbal/written communication skills to non-technical audiences
- Strong focus on quality and on addressing client needs
