Job Description
Summary: Guidepoint is a leading research enablement platform designed to advance understanding and empower clients’ decision-making processes. The Business Development Associate will focus on securing new relationships with target clients and supporting the expansion of Guidepoint’s service offerings through effective prospecting and client engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a working knowledge of industry coverage and the competitive landscape
- Partner with management to identify top-tier new business opportunities based on strategic business development criteria and targets
- Conduct outbound prospecting to generate leads and lead introductory/exploratory calls with prospects
- Meet designated sales targets using a strategic and thoughtful process designed to partner with clients and add value to their process
- Onboard new users effectively
- Work closely with the client service team to collect feedback on open and closed projects
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Broad base knowledge of the sales process from lead generation to relationship management
- Excellent communicator capable of handling high-profile clients
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team atmosphere
- A desire to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- Initiative and ability to handle increasing responsibility over time
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
