Data Visualization Analyst at Guidehouse in Atlanta, GA

Summary: Guidehouse is seeking a data scientist to support client engagements through data analysis, visualization, prototyping, dashboarding and insight development. This role involves informing epidemiologic study design, analyzing, and interpreting health data to inform decision making, disease prevention strategies, and policy development. Responsibilities: - Gather and translate business requirements into analytical and reporting solutions - Analyze structured and semi-structured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights - Collaborate with clients to design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support client decision-making - Perform data validation, cleansing, and transformation to ensure data quality and integrity - Support client presentations and deliverables by clearly communicating analytical findings - Collaborate with project teams, leadership, and client stakeholders to support project objectives - Document data sources, assumptions, methodologies, and processes - Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics and reporting practices Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field - A minimum of ONE (1) year of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics - Demonstrated hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI - Strong proficiency in Excel and SQL (or similar query languages) - Experience translating business questions into analytical solutions - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to manage tasks independently and work effectively in a team-based consulting environment - Willingness to travel as required by client engagements - Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD 'PUBLIC TRUST'; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse Preferred Qualifications: - Consulting or professional services experience - Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred - Experience working with claims data or complex datasets - Familiarity with epidemiologic concepts and best practices - Experience with other BI or analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, Python, R) - Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Azure) - Experience supporting public sector or regulated industry clients Required Skills: Power BI, Data analysis, SQL Important Skills: Python, R, Healthcare data Nice-to-Have Skills: Task management, communication, Team collaboration Benefits: Medical, Rx, Dental & Vision Insurance, Personal and Family Sick Time & Company Paid Holidays, Position may be eligible for a discretionary variable incentive bonus, Parental Leave and Adoption Assistance, 401(k) Retirement Plan, Basic Life & Supplemental Life, Health Savings Account, Dental/Vision & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Short-Term & Long-Term Disability, Student Loan PayDown, Tuition Reimbursement, Personal Development & Learning Opportunities, Skills Development & Certifications, Employee Referral Program, Corporate Sponsored Events & Community Outreach, Emergency Back-Up Childcare Program, Mobility Stipend
