Job Description
Summary: Guggenheim Securities is seeking a summer intern to join its Finance team in New York. The role involves supporting various finance functions, including competitive analysis, management reporting, and expense reporting, while gaining exposure to senior management and the financial services industry.
Responsibilities:
- Support Finance functions including:
- Competitive analysis
- Management reporting (daily, weekly and monthly review of business performance)
- Planning (budget, forecast, strategic plan, and business reviews)
- Expense reporting and analysis
- Cash application
- Ad hoc financial analysis as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- 3.0 GPA or higher through tenure
- Strong level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, intermediate excel
- Must be on track to receive Bachelors, Masters, or equivalent degree between December 2026 to Spring 2028
- Analytical capabilities
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multi-task while managing expectations in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong background in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize issues appropriately
- Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to take initiative and critically analyze processes and procedures in a push toward constant improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong organization, time management, and oral/written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
