Job Description: Test Automation Engineer (Energy Management Domain)

Position Title: Test Automation Engineer

Experience: 4 to 7 Years (Playwright / Test Automation - 3 positons)

Role Overview

As per business requirements B.E. / B.Tech. / M.E. / M.Tech. / MCA

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Test Automation Engineer with 4 to 7 years of experience in test automation and verification of Energy Management Applications.

The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing automated test frameworks, creating automated verification procedures, and supporting continuous integration and testing pipelines for next-generation energy management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks for Energy Management Applications

. • Develop and execute automated test scripts for System Verification Procedures (SVP) and functional and non-functional validation.

• Collaborate closely with Development, Test, Product Management, and Scrum teams to ensure delivery of high-quality software.
• Define and implement test automation strategies across system, integration, and end-to-end testing levels.
• Integrate automated test execution into CI/CT (Continuous Integration/Continuous Testing) pipelines.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and drive issue resolution with development teams.
• Contribute to test planning, estimation, reporting, and continuous process improvement activities.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Technical Skills

Test Automation

• Strong hands-on experience in developing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Experience in creating automated test scripts for system and application verification.
• Good understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and automation best practices.

Energy Domain Expertise

• Hands-on working experience with Energy Management Devices/System solutions.
• Understanding of Energy Management Applications and related system architecture.

Programming & Scripting

Hands-on experience in one or more of the following:

• JavaScript
• TypeScript
• Python
• C#

Test Automation Tools

Experience with one or more of the following tools:

• Playwright
• Ranorex
• Selenium
• Appium
• Robot Framework

Communication Protocols Good knowledge of:

• Modbus • Ethernet
• TCP/IP Communication Protocols

DevOps & CI/CD

• Experience in automating DevOps pipelines to support Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing (CI/CT).
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience integrating automated test suites into build and deployment workflows.

Test Management Experience with test management and lifecycle tools such as:

• IBM Jazz
• Azure DevOps
• Similar ALM/Test Management platforms

AI-Assisted Development Tools Working knowledge and practical usage of AI productivity tools such as:

• GitHub Copilot / VS Code Copilot
• Claude Code
• Other AI-assisted development and test automation tools
