Summary: GSI Environmental Inc. is seeking an entry-level Environmental Engineer/Scientist to join their team in Folsom, California. The role involves providing stormwater compliance support, conducting fieldwork, and assisting in environmental investigations while collaborating with industry professionals on various projects.

Responsibilities:
- Provide stormwater compliance support for industrial facilities to comply with regulatory requirements
- Perform fieldwork to evaluate industrial activities and pollutants, stormwater drainage, and stormwater best management practices
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic evaluations
- Conduct feasibility evaluations and support the development and design of innovative stormwater treatment measures
- Perform fieldwork to support environmental investigation, evaluation, and remediation projects, including the collection of groundwater, soil, soil vapor, stormwater, and surface water samples
- Assist Project Technical Leaders in the preparation of high-quality technical presentations, reports, letters, plans, and proposals
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and analytical laboratories and independently perform subcontractor oversight
- Support the design of assessment programs and remedial options for site cleanup, as well as environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance, and permitting activities
- Assist in the management, analysis, and interpretation of environmental data using statistical and data visualization tools
- Independently perform research tasks with input from technical experts
- Contribute to a team atmosphere through collaboration with technical experts, project managers, colleagues, and subcontractors

Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in the Geosciences, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or related scientific field is required
- 0 to 4 years of relevant work experience
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Curiosity, ability to learn, flexibility, and willingness to work hard
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with data management, review, assessment, and statistical analysis
- Valid driver's license and clear driving record, passage of drug and background check, and ability for limited travel

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree a plus
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification a plus
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification a plus
