Job Description
Summary: GSI Environmental Inc. is seeking an Early Career Engineer/Scientist/Geologist to conduct field investigations and assist the project team in evaluating and reporting field investigation results. The role involves preparing technical documents, performing field observations, and managing environmental data.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting preparation of technical documents, including quality assurance project plans, monitoring/sampling plans, health and safety plans, field records, and regulatory reports
- Performing assignments requiring application of standardized techniques procedures and criteria
- Performing field observations and sampling of environmental media (soil, groundwater, soil vapor, sediment, etc.)
- Compiling and evaluating technical data and coordinating with laboratories
- Managing environmental data and databases
- Communicating with subcontractors and other staff
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology, Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field
- 0 to 2 years of experience
- Experience with data management, review, and analysis
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and clear driving record
- Ability to travel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree a plus
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWWOPER certification a plus
