Location: District Attorney
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Prior secretarial experience.
3. Proficiency in typing skills.
4. Experienced with Excel, Microsoft Word, and other computer systems.
5. Organized, with ability to multi-task while performing high-quality work in stressful situations.
6. Remain courteous, poised, and gracious to the general public and staff at all times.
7. Be a Notary Public or ability to obtain notary status.
8. Proficient spoken and written English.
9. Punctual, trustworthy, honest, and reliable. Be at work from 8am-5pm, 5 days per week.
10. Pass background, criminal history check, and drug test.
OTHER: Ability to speak and understand Spanish, though not a qualification requirement, is desirable.
EXAMPLES OF JOB DUTIES:
1. Perform Legal Secretarial work for Attorneys.
Primary duties include but are not limited to:
2. Greet, welcome and direct general public and visitors to the appropriate person and office and in a cordial and polite manner.
3. Answer, screen and forward incoming calls.
4. Taking messages for all employees.
5. Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
6. Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (e.g., monitor logbook, issue visitor badges).
7. Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing and photocopying.
8. Assist other staff as directed by the District Attorney, First Asst. or Office Manger
SALARY: FROM: $34,320.00 TO: $37,433.00/ANNUALLY
