Job Description
Summary: Greenpoint Technologies, Inc. is a company specializing in delivering VIP Jet aircraft interiors for private clients and Heads-of-State. They are seeking an Engineering Intern to provide technical support in drafting, design, and data manipulation while gaining hands-on knowledge and skills in preparation for a career in Engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Accomplishes drawing pickups and corrections as directed by engineers
- Collects and manipulates data as directed by engineers
- Collaborates and communicates with the lead engineer to keep informed of task progress
- Provides technical and engineering support
- Reviews and gains comprehension of engineering drawings
- Prepares presentations in PowerPoint
- Maintains regular attendance including being at work, being on time to work and working full shifts
- Prepares a presentation at the end of the internship to demonstrate what knowledge and skills have been gained
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuit of or fulfillment of a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in engineering or related discipline from a four-year college or university
- US Person Required - this position requires special access. A US Person is defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company/foreign government/foreign governmental agency or organization, or a political asylee for legal compliance purposes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work well independently and cross-functionally as part of a team
- Strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time, use hands to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and have close/color vision ability to adjust focus
