Job Description
Summary: Greenheck Group is a global leader in air movement and ventilation, known for its commitment to employee growth and development. The IT Support Technician role involves assessing and recommending hardware and software configurations, performing diagnostics, and providing technical assistance to end users.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect PC equipment, set up and test PCs and peripherals such as monitors, keyboards, printers, wireless accessories. Prepare PCs for delivery and installation at users work center or shop floor
- Install, maintain and support operating system software, including the determination of errors and the application of corrections, as necessary
- Provide first and second level of troubleshooting in resolving problems. Use ticketing software to document and escalate issues to additional support teams
- Maintain good working relationships with manufacturing vendors and support providers
- Coordinate the work of vendor representatives assisting in system maintenance or upgrades
- Diagnose system hardware, software, and operator problems. Recommend or perform minor remedial actions to correct problems based on knowledge of system operations
- Work with IT management to provide proper levels of customer service based on customer needs
- Work with remote users across corporate environments to provide support with various remote-control software
- Practice effective time management and prioritization of tasks
- Work with support personnel in all areas of IT including Networks, Programming, Systems, and Analysis for issue resolution and continuous improvement
- Develop policies and procedures that outline how problems are identified, documented, assigned, and corrected
- Attend technical conferences, formal training classes, and seminars to keep abreast of new hardware and software product developments
- Must be able to work flexible hours to assist with computer maintenance and upgrades
Required Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience required
- High school or GED required
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 Year / Associate Degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, MS Windows, iOS
- Knowledge of computer hardware and configurations preferred
