Summary: Granite Construction is one of the nation's largest heavy civil contractors and construction materials producers. The IT Intern will assist IT and Operations staff members, providing valuable work experience while participating in various projects like PC deployments and service desk support. Responsibilities: - Assists by performing a variety of tasks and participating in short-term and long-term projects, such as PC deployments, Service Desk, documentation and other special projects - Assists users with computer and telephony hardware and software problems and questions when needed - Excellent written, analytic, and verbal communication skills required Required Qualifications: - Excellent written, analytic, and verbal communication skills required - High School diploma - Current enrollment in a community college or undergraduate program - 0 - 2 years experience in help desk or IT related support - Requires a well-developed understanding of and experience in the use of PC hardware and software running in a Windows 365 environment, experience with Sharepoint - Ability to use AI for data analysis, process improvement and application building - Advanced consultative and communication skills and ability to interface effectively with all levels of management - Ability to properly manage and prioritize resources, people and projects - Team player, with strong leadership skills, who can operate effectively within a matrix management environment - Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to provide creative solutions to real-time challenges - Ability to work in high production environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience Required Skills: PC hardware, software, Windows 365 environment Important Skills: SharePoint, AI for data analysis Nice-to-Have Skills: Analytical skills, Communication skills, Problem-solving skills, Team player, Leadership skills Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life insurance, Disability insurance, Flexible spending plans, Special programs for musculoskeletal health, Mental wellness, 401(k) plan
