Job Description
Summary: Graham Manufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to assist the operations department by analyzing and developing processes. The intern will work closely with the operations team to support departmental needs and contribute to process analysis, product improvements, and data collection.
Responsibilities:
- Plays an active role in process analysis and development including review of process mapping, work flows, manufacturing requirements, work packages, quality requirements, and operations functions
- Takes direction from Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineer, or Operations Manager
- Identify, review and develop product improvements
- Identify, review and implement development process improvements
- Assist with data collection and analysis of production KPIs and metrics
- Initiate interdepartmental communication
- Works in a team environment
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous work in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge of fabrication, machining, welding, inspection, and measurement techniques preferred
