Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Graco in Kamas, UT

Summary: Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment for fluid and powder materials. As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will support the development and optimization of machining processes while collaborating with engineering and quality teams to improve efficiency and production quality. Responsibilities: - Provide general production support for machining and/or assembly areas by participating in hands-on troubleshooting issues and providing technical assistance - Assist in evaluating the need for machine and/or assembly area upgrades - Participate in capital equipment justification as needed - Review and analyze standards and operational layouts to suggest improvements - Assist in the selection and implementation of tooling and fixtures for machining and/or assembly jobs - Participate in cost of quality improvements, root cause analysis and corrective action - Troubleshooting product problems in manufacturing, lab or field - React to changing priorities in a timely manner - Report man-hour estimates - Work effectively in a team environment Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or comparable Engineering program - Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale - Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills - Ability to work independently and as an effective team member - Mechanical aptitude and desire for hands on work - At least two years enrolled Preferred Qualifications: - Machining coursework or experience - Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD - Experience with 3D printers Required Skills: Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, CAD Software Important Skills: 3D Printing Nice-to-Have Skills: Mechanical Aptitude, Communication Skills, Teamwork Benefits: Medical, Dental, Stock purchase plan, 401(k), Tuition reimbursement, And more
