Get to Know the Team
The Communications team tells the Grab story across Southeast Asia. We drive growth by promoting and protecting Grab's brand and reputation, ensuring our position as the leading online-to-offline mobile platform in the region.
We speak to media, online influencers, industry commentators, thought leaders, and the wider community. We are the voice of Grab.
Get to Know the Role
Reporting to the Internal Communications & Content Manager, you will be the primary storyteller for Grab's corporate brand as part of our regional content team. You will shape the narrative across our corporate blog, Inside Grab, and our social media channels.
You will build Grab's reputation by highlighting our product innovations, business and social impact initiatives, and the people behind the platform. You will identify story angles that resonate across different audiences and platforms, translating complex or technical topics into accessible, culturally relevant stories that audiences want to consume and share.
You will use content performance data and audience insights to improve storytelling, distribution strategies, and engagement outcomes.
This is a fully onsite role at our Grab's office at Petaling Jaya.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
You will manage the editorial calendar and content planning for Inside Grab, writing and commissioning stories on product innovation, thought leadership, social impact, and industry trends for regional audiences.
You will develop and execute content for Inside Grab across Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms, creating platform-native content and growing audiences through organic and paid content strategies.
You will produce multimedia content including videos, presentations, articles, and social content, from ideation through scripting, editing coordination, and publishing.
You will partner with Product, Engineering, ESG, Communications, and People teams to translate complex topics into clear stories for external and internal audiences.
You will use Google Analytics, platform insights, and content performance data to optimise content, improve discoverability, and refine distribution strategies across owned and paid channels.
You will apply generative engine optimisation (GEO) and search engine optimisation (SEO) techniques, alongside paid media strategies, to maximise content reach and impact.
qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
6 years+ of experience in content marketing, journalism, or corporate communications.
Professional-level English (written and verbal) to create content for global audiences, write long-form articles, and develop executive communications.
Professional-level Bahasa Melayu or Bahasa Indonesia to interview local stakeholders, translate cultural nuances, and ensure content resonates with Malaysian and Indonesian audiences.
Demonstrated ability to write and edit across formats: long-form thought leadership articles, social media copy, video scripts, and executive presentations.
Experience producing short-form video content for social media platforms, including scriptwriting, visual direction, and coordinating production workflows.
Experience managing content in publishing platforms or content management systems (CMS), with knowledge of digital publishing workflows and distribution strategies.
Experience using data and analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, platform-native analytics, or social listening tools) to measure content performance and inform optimisation decisions.
Experience with GEO/SEO techniques and paid social amplification strategies to improve content discoverability and reach.
Experience working with AI tools to support content creation, research, and audience insight generation.
