Junior Technical Development Manager at Goodman Group · Vilvoorde

Always wanted to challenge the obvious and make great things happen? At Goodman we create space for your greatness.

Join our Belgium & Netherlands (BeNe) Development team and play a key role in the technical development on a portfolio of major data centre projects as our Junior Technical Development Manager. You will be embedded in an ambitious, fast-moving environment where attention to detail, analytical thinking, and initiative make a real difference.

This role offers exceptional hands-on exposure across some of our most prominent, large-scale data centre developments. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, contractors, and project teams, gaining real-world experience across the entire technical development lifecycle — from early feasibility through delivery.

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated junior profile to grow hands-on experience.

More concretely, this means you will get the opportunity to:

• Support the technical potential of landbank opportunities.
• Assist with technical and environmental due diligence on brownfield sites considered for acquisition.
• Contribute to the technical design of new building concepts, including data centres and multi-level logistics real estate.
• Coordinate the building and MEP design process for logistics and data centre projects in collaboration with customers, architects, advisers and other stakeholders.
• Support the permitting process, including the coordination of required documentation and negotiations with local authorities, with the aim of securing permits effectively.
• Assist with contractor tendering and contract negotiations and manage construction projects from start to finish.
• Prepare technical documentation, specifications and cost estimates to support the commercial process.
• Contribute to power and energy-related projects, including grid connection upgrades and the roll-out of batteries, solar PV and EV charging infrastructure.

Do you recognize yourself?

• What we do requires technical skills, hence our preference for an Engineering degree (construction engineering, architecture or related field), possibly with an additional business degree.
• English is our business language, so we expect you to be fluent in speaking and writing.
• Real estate is a locally driven market. Near native knowledge of the local language is a necessity.
• Change is the only constant. Don’t ask us where you will be in two years’ time. We don’t know – but we can guarantee you it will have been fun. That’s why an open mindset and eagerness to learn are indispensable for every Goodman employee.

How will we reward you?

At Goodman, we know that our people are the driving force behind our success. That’s why we offer a competitive total reward package and a range of benefits, including:

• Competitive fixed compensation
• Annual discretionary bonus scheme
• Eligibility to participate in Goodman’s share scheme (if applicable)

Building for the future

Building and operating essential infrastructure comes with a real environmental impact. At Goodman, we don't shy away from that. We see it as a responsibility we owe to the generations who'll come after us, and as an opportunity to keep doing better, project after project. In practice, that means taking a long-term view of how what we build holds up over time, and building teams where different perspectives are genuinely valued. Because words only carry us so far, what counts is what actually gets achieved. It's an ongoing effort, made of small decisions as much as big ones, and one where the right people can push what's possible even further.
