Job Description
Summary: Goldman Sachs is a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm. The role involves building full stack applications for the Asset and Wealth Management division to meet financial control and reporting obligations, utilizing programming and analytical skills to develop scalable software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize programming and analytical skills to architect and develop full stack applications for AWM to translate business and technical requirements into well-designed applications
- Build platforms which facilitate Financial and Management reporting functions for AWM
- Participate in the complete software life cycle using various Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tools
- Help maintain the reliability and quality of software through code reviews, testing, and other practices
- Comfortable with multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills including experience speaking to technical & business audiences and working globally
- Must be willing to work with proprietary technologies. No knowledge of proprietary technologies is required pre-hire
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
- Experience in software development, including a clear understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design and core programming concepts
- Strong Full-stack technical design and development skills and experience
- Technologies: Web/RESTful service development, JavaScript/React, JSON
- Technologies: Qlikview, Tableau, Data modeling
- Technologies: AWS, Snowflake, Spark, memSQL, DB2, HDFS, Distributed Computing
- Strong programming experience in at least one compiled language (e.g. Java, Scala)
- In-depth knowledge of relational and columnar SQL databases, including database design
