Job Description
Summary: Goldman Sachs is a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm. They are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to collaborate with a global cross-functional team in building customer-centric products and improving existing software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a global cross functional team in building customer-centric products
- Analyze existing software to identify areas of improvement and provide estimates for implementing new features
- Follow standard software development guidelines and best practices
- Create and maintain test plans, documentation and automated tests for all technical changes
- Grow your technical skillset by seeking out cross-training and knowledge advancement opportunities
- Participate in user story refinement, technical design, code reviews and the team's Agile process
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent industry experience
- 1+ years (Analyst) or 3+ years (Associate) of experience with Java or other related Object-Oriented development language
- Experience with microservices architecture and API development
- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
- Ability to establish trusted partnerships with cross functional team members and product owners
Preferred Qualifications:
- Source Control Management systems (i.e., SVN, Git)
- An understanding of common application architecture design patterns
- Experience working in an Agile environment
