Job Description
Summary: GoEngineer is a provider of design platforms in the industry, specializing in engineering software and 3D Printing technology. The Additive Manufacturing Intern will support day-to-day lab operations for the 3D printing team, assisting with printing, cleaning parts, and general lab support while gaining hands-on exposure to additive manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with file preparation, build preparation, printing, and post-processing of 3D printed parts
- Clean, finish, and organize printed parts to support lab throughput and machine utilization
- Help prepare parts for packing and shipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized lab environment
- Support internal teams with day-to-day printer-related activities and minor production tasks
- Assist with inventory management and lab supply organization to ensure materials and tools are available for operations
- Help keep equipment and workflows moving when key team members are traveling or focused on other priorities
- Participate in hands-on learning across the print process, from setup through completed part handling
- Assist with paid parts and other production-related work as directed by the team
- Work on-site during business hours and collaborate closely with team members providing training and guidance
- Contribute to lab setup and organization as the workspace continues to develop
- Communicate availability and progress clearly so work can be scheduled effectively
- Learn GoEngineer lab procedures and follow established processes for quality and safety
Required Qualifications:
- Interest in 3D printing, robotics, engineering, or other technical fields
- Willingness to learn hands-on processes in a fast-paced lab setting
- Ability to work on-site in Salt Lake City
- Availability to work a flexible part-time schedule during business hours
- Interest in supporting both technical and operational tasks
- Comfort working with tools, equipment, and physical part handling
- Strong reliability and follow-through
- Ability to take direction from multiple team members and learn from feedback
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in, or recent coursework related to, engineering, manufacturing, technical studies, or a similar field is helpful
- Equivalent hands-on experience or demonstrated personal interest in 3D printing is also welcome
