Job Description
Summary: GlobalFoundries is a leading full-service semiconductor foundry providing design, development, and fabrication services. They are seeking new college graduates to support 300mm semiconductor manufacturing and development, focusing on process integration, performance monitoring, and technology development.
Responsibilities:
- Own a technology module end-to-end, including prioritizing projects, delegating tasks, and leading experiment definition and hardware disposition
- Sustain and improve manufacturing performance by enhancing quality, reducing defectivity, and increasing process stability (Cp/Cpk) and efficiency
- Identify and resolve line issues through data analysis, driving timely containment to minimize impact on yield and delivery
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop new production technologies while driving cost reductions through
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Required Qualifications:
- Education – Graduating with PhD Degree in Science, Math, Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing or a related discipline from an accredited degree program
- Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing
- Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior related internship or co-op experience
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc
- Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning & organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, SPC, and DOE methodologies
- Hands-on or academic experience in semiconductor processing or Silicon Photonics, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders
