Summary of Role:
We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer with a strong foundation embedded hardware/software development in motor control, Robotics motion actuator systems. The ideal candidate will bridge engineering and customer application domains, supporting advanced robotics and motion control product design through hands-on system development, hardware bring-up, and customer engagement.
Essential Responsibilities
Design, develop, andvalidatemotor control and actuator control systemsfor robotics and automation applications.
Implement andoptimizeembedded firmwarein C/C++ for 32-bit microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M, TI C2000, NXP, ST, etc.).
Performhardware board development, bring-up, and debugging, including interface validation (SPI, CAN, I2C, UART, PWM, ADC).
Integrate and tune control algorithms (FOC, position/velocity/torque loops,sensorlesscontrol).
Supportmotion control system designfor humanoid robots, manipulators, and mobile platforms.
Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and mechanical teams for end-to-end system performance optimization.
Developcustomer-facing application collaterals—including technical notes, reference designs, application examples, and demo documentation.
Providetechnical supportto customers and internal teams for motor control products, evaluation boards, and reference designs.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree inElectrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Robotics Engineering.
5+ yearsof experience in embedded systems and motion control application development.
Proven experience inmotor control (BLDC, PMSM, stepper, or DC motors)andactuator drive systems.
Hands-on experience inembedded C/C++ development, real-time debugging, and microcontroller toolchains.
Solid understanding ofcontrol theory,power electronics, andsystem dynamics.
Strong experience inhardware design review, board bring-up, and system testing.
Excellent communication and documentation skills for creatingtechnical marketing and application content.
Preferred Skills
Experience withroboticsmotion control systems(humanoids, industrial arms, AGVs, AMRs).
Familiarity withmotor drivers, encoders, and feedback sensors.
Exposure toreal-time control environments(RTOS,FreeRTOS, TI-RTOS).
Experience withsimulation and modeling tools(MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW).
Understanding ofindustrial or automotive communication protocols(CAN,EtherCAT, RS485).
Experience developingdemo applications, product collateral, or reference documentationfor customers.
Experienced in supporting vertical customers in Automotive and Industrial markets.

Expected Salary Range
$118,000.00 - $210,000.00
