Business Development Associate - Industrials at GLG in New York, NY

Summary: GLG is seeking a supportive, collaborative, and tenacious individual to join their Industrials team. The Business Development Associate will be responsible for generating and qualifying new business opportunities, assisting with client presentations, and collaborating with the Business Development Manager to sell subscriptions. Responsibilities: - Research target accounts and contacts to identify key decision-makers and their specific jobs to be done/pain points - Conduct personalized outreach via email, cold calling, and LinkedIn to prospects at key new logos - Engage prospects in conversations to understand their business challenges, needs, budget, authority, and timeline - Articulate GLG's value proposition clearly and concisely, focusing on how it solves the prospect’s problem - Maintain daily/weekly activity targets Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree - 1-2 years of demonstrated success selling information services and solutions via phone, email, and consultative selling - The ability to quickly establish rapport with key decision makers in prospective firms - Ability to work well independently and be self-motivated - A strong passion for persuasion, especially around complicated and intellectually challenging issues - Superior verbal communication skills - Excellent attention to detail - A demonstrated ability to read and understand people Required Skills: Consultative selling, Verbal communication Important Skills: CRM proficiency, Research skills Nice-to-Have Skills: Rapport building, Attention to detail, Self-motivation, Persuasion Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage effective on your first day of employment, Flexible paid time off.
