Summary: GKN Automotive is seeking a detail-oriented Summer Intern to support their Fixed Asset Project. The role involves updating SAP asset information, assisting with inventory verification, and implementing a new asset barcode system across two plant facilities. Responsibilities: - Research and update asset details (name, cost center, location) in the SAP Fixed Asset Module - Link work centers in the SAP Maintenance Module to corresponding assets - Verify physical assets in both plants and ensure inventory dates are recorded in SAP - Create a barcode system for asset identification - Assist with printing and installing barcode tags on all machines in both plants Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a program such as Business, Accounting, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Information Systems - Strong attention to detail - Ability to work independently - Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications: - SAP experience is helpful but not required Required Skills: SAP, Asset management, Inventory verification, Barcode system implementation
