Summary: GKN Automotive is seeking a motivated summer Intern focused on Continuous Improvement. The intern will assist with process mapping, data analysis, and Lean/Six Sigma–based improvement projects aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing waste. Responsibilities: - Support process mapping, workflow analysis, and documentation - Collect and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities - Assist with Kaizen events, workshops, and CI initiatives - Prepare reports and dashboards to track KPIs and project updates - Partner with cross-functional teams on small-scale improvements - Research and recommend best practices and innovative solutions Required Qualifications: - Strong interest in Continuous Improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma - Analytical skills and attention to detail - Proficiency in Excel; experience with data visualization tools a plus - Effective communication and teamwork Preferred Qualifications: - Prior coursework or exposure to improvement projects preferred Required Skills: Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Important Skills: Data Analysis, Excel
