PT Clerk - Produce - 0326 at Giant Food in Lanham, MD

Summary: Giant Food has proudly served communities for over 90 years and operates more than 160 stores across the D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware area. The Produce Clerk is responsible for stocking, rotating, and merchandising fresh fruits and vegetables while ensuring quality, freshness, and food safety standards are met.

Responsibilities:
- Support daily operations of the produce department, including inventory management, merchandising, and compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain appealing product displays and build strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, freshness, and sales growth

Required Qualifications:
- Oral and written communication skills
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must meet minimum age requirements in accordance with federal, state, and local laws
- Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Fast-paced retail grocery store
- Frequent interaction with customers and team members
- May involve exposure to varying temperatures (e.g., near entrance or refrigerated areas)

Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred
