Water Treatment Engineering Intern at GHD in Phoenix, AZ

They are seeking a Water Treatment Engineering Intern to join their Water & Wastewater Treatment team, where the intern will perform engineering duties related to planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of various water systems and facilities. Responsibilities: - Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching - Use the knowledge management system to access specific information - Provide technical support to inspections of the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and the remedial works needed in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements - Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards - Support others by implementing improvements and carrying out simple change management tasks - Implement feasibility testing of proposed engineering solutions, under supervision, to provide feedback and contribute to validation of the design - Support others by carrying out a range of product development and engineering activities, such as analyzing client situations or interpreting data - Carry out a range of contract management tasks - Support others by carrying out a range of project management activities Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a civil engineering or equivalent Bachelor's or Master's degree program - No experience required Required Skills: Civil Engineering Important Skills: Engineering Standards Specification, Engineering Solutions Design, Project Management Nice-to-Have Skills: Technical Support, Knowledge Management, Contract Management, Improvement/Innovation
