Job Description
Summary: GHD is a global company focused on solving complex transport challenges. They are seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join their Engineering Design team, where the intern will perform engineering duties related to planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of various building structures and facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out a range of contract management tasks
- Provide technical support to inspections of the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and the remedial works needed in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements
- Implement improvements and provide feedback on them
- Use change management systems and protocols to provide routine support services
- Carry out a range of product development and engineering activities
- Use established systems to analyze customer needs and define and deliver products
- Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals
- Implement feasibility testing of proposed engineering solutions, under supervision, to provide feedback and contribute to validation of the design
- Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards
- Help others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice
- Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential
- Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering or equivalent Bachelor's or Master's degree program
- No experience required
