Automotive Sales Manager at Gerry Lane Enterprises in Baton Rouge, LA

You're already a proven sales manager and you know how to lead a sales team. The question is whether you're getting paid what you're worth to do it.

If you're a proven sales manager — hitting your numbers, holding gross, developing your people — and the pay plan hasn't kept up with what you actually produce, this is the conversation worth having.

Gerry Lane Chevrolet has been the #1 Chevrolet store in Baton Rouge for 40 years. Not one good year. Forty. That kind of run doesn't happen without volume, without traffic, and without a desk that gets the deals bought. We're looking for one more manager who can step into that and keep it going.

What we're offering

Top managers here earn $200,000+. That is not a ceiling we made up for a job ad — it's what a manager who runs a strong desk takes home in this store.

• Aggressive pay plan built on volume and gross, with performance bonuses on top
• Health and dental plan
• 401(k) with company match
• Demo allowance
• Paid time off
• Five-day work week — a manager's schedule you can actually plan a life around
• The traffic and inventory of the #1 Chevrolet store in the market — you're not buying deals to make a month
• A leadership team that lets managers actually manage instead of second-guessing every deal

What you'll be doing

• Running the desk: structuring, closing, and holding gross on new and used deals
• Working the board and managing the floor through the day — appointment to delivery
• Training, coaching, and holding your salespeople accountable to a daily process
• Managing T.O.s and taking the tough ones yourself
• Working closely with F&I to protect deal structure and product penetration
• Owning your team's CRM discipline — follow-up, logging, and lead response times
• Reporting to management on daily and monthly performance

What we're looking for

• Proven automotive sales management experience — desk manager, sales manager, or GSM. This is not an entry-level position and it is not a step-up role.
• A track record you can walk us through: units, gross, and how you got there
• Someone who develops salespeople rather than just closing over them
• Strong CRM and process discipline
• Comfortable with the hours a manager's job requires, and steady under a busy Saturday
• Valid driver's license

Why Gerry Lane

Forty years at the top of this market means our customers come back and send their families. Managers here aren't fighting for traffic — they're managing it. If you're good, you'll make more money here than you're making now, and you'll do it in a store people in Baton Rouge already trust.

Applications are handled through Indeed and reviewed discreetly. We understand you may be currently employed, and we treat every conversation that way.
