Summary: Geosyntec Consultants is an innovative international engineering and consulting firm. They are seeking an Intern / Co-Op in Civil / Environmental Engineering to apply academic knowledge to real-world situations while learning essential business skills for a successful consulting career. Responsibilities: - Assist with fieldwork such as soil and groundwater sampling, stormwater inspections, and drilling and contractor oversight - Assist with engineering calculations using computer-based technical tools - Technical writing of reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals - Data input and analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures - Follow instructions and interact with engineers, geologists, office administrative staff, CADD operators (draftsmen), contractors and construction personnel - Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed Required Qualifications: - Currently registered in a Bachelor's or Master's university degree program in a relevant engineering discipline - Valid U.S. driver's license, reliable transportation, and satisfactory driving record for business travel to project sites Preferred Qualifications: - Degree focus area in civil, geotechnical, environmental, chemical, or water resources engineering - Upper division (e.g. sophomore, or junior) or Master's enrollment - Experience with ArcView, CADD, and/or Microsoft Office - Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal, technical writing, oral and written communication and problem-solving skills Required Skills: Soil sampling, Groundwater sampling, Stormwater inspections, Drilling oversight, Engineering calculations, Data analysis, Map preparation, ArcView, CADD, Microsoft Office, Valid U.S. driver’s license Benefits: We offer competitive pay and benefits, and well-being programs to support you and your family.
