They are seeking an Early Career Environmental Engineer to engage in contaminated site assessment and remediation, applying academic knowledge to real-world situations while developing business skills in a consulting career. Responsibilities: - Fieldwork such as soil, vapor, surface water and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, and remediation treatment system operation and maintenance - Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation - Providing contamination assessment services, such as designing and implementing sampling plans, bench scale testing, and pilot test programs - Monitoring and oversight of site remediation and environmental construction projects - Well installation, aquifer testing, and groundwater monitoring - Conducting remedy evaluation, cost estimating, and supporting remedial implementation - Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting - Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures - Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals - Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering - Strong oral and technical writing skills - Demonstrated strong interest in contaminant remediation - Regular field work and overnight travel - Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing - Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel Preferred Qualifications: - Advanced degree in the same - Prior research experience in contaminated media or remediation technology - Internship(s), co-op position, or prior work experience relevant to the position - Experience with visualization tools (AutoCAD ArcView) and/or groundwater flow and geochemical modeling (Modflow, MT3D, geochemical equilibrium models) Required Skills: Contaminated media research, Remediation technology, Contaminant remediation, Field sampling - soil, vapor, surface water, groundwater, Drilling, contractor oversight, Remediation treatment system operation, maintenance, Sampling plan design, implementation, Bench scale testing, Pilot test programs, Site remediation monitoring, oversight, Environmental construction project oversight, Well installation, Aquifer testing, Groundwater monitoring, Remedy evaluation, Cost estimating, Remedial implementation support, Environmental due diligence, Regulatory compliance, Permitting, Data analysis, AutoCAD, ArcView, Groundwater flow modeling, Geochemical modeling, Modflow, MT3D, Geochemical equilibrium models Benefits: Paid holidays, Vacation, Sick, Personal paid time off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability insurance, 401(k), Other benefits to eligible employees
