Job Description
Summary: Geneva Rock Products is seeking a Seasonal Construction Intern to assist project managers in all aspects of construction work. Interns will be mentored and will help with bidding, planning, and executing various construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist project managers in bidding, planning, and executing the work on various construction projects
- Projects will include asphalt paving, concrete paving, micro-surfacing, chip seal, excavation grading, and utility work
- Position may require night work
Required Qualifications:
- Each applicant should be enrolled in an accredited civil engineering or construction management program at a sophomore level or higher
- Applicants should demonstrate effective communication and organization skills, and the ability to quickly learn and understand the technical aspects of construction projects
- Ability to learn and understand plans, specifications, schedules, estimates, quantity calculations, and accounting procedures
