They are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team, responsible for the design and development of advanced autonomous subsea systems and vehicles. Responsibilities: - As a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Autonomous Maritime Platforms Business, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the design and development of advanced autonomous subsea systems and vehicles Required Qualifications: - Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field - Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire - Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information - Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required Preferred Qualifications: - Mechanical Engineering Design - Proficiency with SolidWorks MCAD and PTC Windchill Software - Engineering background in the Undersea Domain - Knowledge of autonomous/unmanned undersea vehicle (AUV/UUV) technologies, principles, theories, and concepts - Hands-on experience assembling prototype systems - Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) - Creative thinker ready to design and develop innovative solutions from conception to production - Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others Required Skills: Mechanical Engineering Design, SolidWorks MCAD, PTC Windchill Software, Undersea Domain Engineering, Autonomous/Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (AUV/UUV) Technologies, Geometric Dimensioning, Tolerancing (GD&T) Benefits: 401k matching, Flex time off, Paid parental leave, Healthcare benefits, Health & wellness programs, Employee resource and social groups, And more
