Job Description
Summary: General Dynamics is a leading company in the defense and scientific arenas, and they are seeking an Engineering Intern to support national security missions. The role involves working on various technical projects and collaborating with teams on software components for GPS and Navigation systems.
Responsibilities:
- Apply your classroom-learned skills to a program supporting the defense of our country
- Work on projects that support some of our nation’s fundamental defense services
- Contribute to CONOPS, requirements definition, software modeling, analysis, design, integration, test, and verification of systems
Required Qualifications:
- Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of engineering technology
- Engineering Interns must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline with a preference for a standing of a sophomore or higher
- Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required
- Clear understanding of the software engineering concepts, principles, theories, software development process, and agile methodology
- Clear understanding of the software development process, with agile experience
- Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
- Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success
- Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
- Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Embedded Software
- Automated testing
- Programming experience in C, C++, Python
