Job Description
Summary: General Dynamics Information Technology is a global technology and professional services company that supports government, defense, and intelligence projects. They are seeking a Site Surveyor Technician to provide configuration management support, perform site surveys for IT equipment, and manage project responsibilities while ensuring effective communication and collaboration. This role offers growth and certification opportunities within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Provide configuration management support for assigned projects
- Performs thorough and documented site surveys for installation, moves, additions, changes, and removal of desktop IT equipment, peripherals, and telephone systems
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
- Must be ready for full days and a fast pace on a large Government campus, with occasional redirection in focus based on mission needs
- Must be able to track action items, projects, and plans
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs. or more; significant walking involved between buildings and offices
- Must be able to access installed desktop IT equipment in and around office furniture
- Participates in special projects as required
Required Qualifications:
- Top Secret SCI + Polygraph clearance level must currently possess
- Top Secret SCI + Polygraph clearance level must be able to obtain
- US Citizenship required
- Education: HS/GED
- 0+ years of related experience
- Good MS Word, Excel, and Outlook computing skills at a minimum
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must possess appropriate and current DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification: CompTIA Security+ CE is the minimum certification
- Must be ready for full days and a fast pace on a large Government campus
- Must be able to track action items, projects, and plans
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs. or more; significant walking involved between buildings and offices
- Must be able to access installed desktop IT equipment in and around office furniture
