Summary: General Dynamics Electric Boat is the premier designer and builder of nuclear powered submarines for the US Navy, experiencing a period of unprecedented growth. They are seeking an Outside Electrician who will install and maintain electrical components in submarines, providing training for those eager to learn the trade. Responsibilities: - Install wireways supporting cables in submarines. Install cables and electrical components (nuclear and non-nuclear) ranging from large power distribution switchboards to telephones (also includes control, power, electronics, and weapon systems) - Install, tag out, and test ship's lighting - Hook up cables to electrical components in accordance with NAVSEA methods and procedures, such as hardwire and connecterization - Groom electrical components for a variety of inspections, and also responsible for providing documentation for every job performed.
