Job Description
Summary: Generac Power Systems Inc is a company that focuses on providing power solutions for homes and businesses. The Tester I role involves performing system tests, ensuring compliance with production and quality standards, and troubleshooting issues in the workstation.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with the company and site safety and quality policies, processes, and procedures
- Maintain clean work environment and comply with 5S standards
- Follow and complete established procedures, processes, and policies
- Use standard work, programs, and work instructions to test all products, models, and/or subassemblies
- Interpret schematics and drawings to properly test all products
- Troubleshoot and document all product, models, and/or subassemblies appropriately to meet quality standards
- Perform minor repairs per work instruction/standard work within takt time; refer major repairs to appropriate resources
- Collaborate on improving processes, lead times, productivity and cost using the DTZ process
- Obtain and renew safety certification as needed to properly move and/or test all products, models, and/or subassemblies
- Additional duties as assigned including flexing to other departments
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience troubleshooting and/or wiring in a manufacturing environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate problem solving and troubleshooting skills to implement appropriate countermeasures
- Intermediate PC knowledge
- Understand testing process
- Perform basic reading and math functions
- Perform basic manufacturing assembly skills
- Work in a team environment effectively
- Model positive and professional work ethic
