Job Description
Summary: Gen is a global company dedicated to powering Digital Freedom through its trusted consumer brands. The Summer Internship in Product Management focuses on improving user experience in the auto-related financial products sector, driving measurable improvements in engagement and conversion.
Responsibilities:
- Own and optimize a key Marketplace experience within the Auto vertical, improving how users explore insurance and related offerings
- Analyze user behavior, funnel performance, and drop-off points to identify opportunities for improvement
- Partner with design, engineering, and analytics to enhance user experience, personalization, and content clarity
- Develop and test hypotheses to improve engagement and conversion through experimentation (A/B testing, UX improvements, messaging)
- Contribute to expanding the experience into a broader 'Auto Garage' concept
- Present insights, recommendations, and results to product and leadership teams
Required Qualifications:
- A current undergraduate or graduate student, rising junior/senior preferred
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, high-tech environment
- Strong problem solver who is comfortable working with both data and user experience concepts
- Self-starter who takes ownership and drives work forward with minimal direction
- Interest in fintech, marketplaces, or consumer-facing digital products
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and identify trends
- Familiarity with product thinking, UX principles, or experimentation frameworks
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience with tools such as Excel/Sheets; exposure to SQL, Python, or analytics tools is a plus
- Comfort using AI tools to accelerate research, analysis, and output
