The Gas Power Monitoring & Diagnostics organization is looking for a Requisitions Project Engineer for M&D OTR (Order-To-Remittance) project execution and deployments. The M&D Requisition Engineer is responsible for the technical implementation of projects including the technical design definition, integration to site systems, hardware installation and network setup.Job Description
What You'll Do
Own technical delivery end-to-end: Lead technical design definition, site integration planning, and hardware installation for M&D platform deployments — including servers, peripheral devices, and associated network infrastructure.
Be the go-to technical expert: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal teams, leading technical discussions, resolving issues in the field, and ensuring all designs meet industry and company standards.
Drive documentation and procurement accuracy: Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs), update mechanical and electrical drawings in collaboration with drafting teams, create operating instructions, and issue material requisitions aligned to technical specifications and project timelines.
Navigate complexity across sites and functions: Coordinate simultaneous project deployments across multiple customer locations, time zones, and internal teams — applying solid monitoring and control practices to maintain quality throughout.
Show up in the field: Travel to customer sites approximately 30–50\% of the time for installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, and testing — both domestically and internationally.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical depth with the resilience and adaptability to perform in dynamic, customer-facing environments.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant discipline.
4+ years of experience in IT/engineering, including hands-on field installation of network equipment (servers, routers, firewalls, and switches) and familiarity with industrial control systems.
Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems, and experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) / Distributed Control System (DCS) protocols, including Modbus, OPC (OLE for Process Control), TCP/IP, and serial communication.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with structured monitoring and quality control practices.
Comfort operating independently within a highly matrixed, global organization across multiple sites, functions, and time zones.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (Americas) as required, ~30-50% annually.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools: Visio, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience deploying network or cybersecurity equipment, particularly in NERC CIP (North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection) regulated environments.
Familiarity with virtual machine environments (VMware, Hyper-V) and industrial server infrastructure, including firewalls, network switches, and cybersecurity hardware.
Experience with Balance of Plant (BOP) or DCS integrations using SCADA/DCS protocols such as OPC UA-DA.
Background in power generation environments, with exposure to additional sensing technologies such as vibration sensors, combustion dynamics monitoring, or generator health systems.
Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification — or equivalent process improvement experience.
