Summary: GE Aerospace is a world-leading provider of jet engines and integrated systems for aircraft. They are seeking an intern to help protect the health and safety of employees and the environment while gaining leadership and technical skills in a supply chain/manufacturing role. Responsibilities: - EHS stands for Environment, Health, and Safety. On this track you can also be involved in Facilities and Maintenance. In this role you will be responsible for any workforce efforts to protect the health and safety of GE Aerospace employees, the public, as well as the environment from hazards - This may include industrial hygiene, hazard assessments, risk abatement, environmental (wastewater management, hazard/non-hazard waste disposal, air regulations, compliance with regulatory agencies) Ergonomics, and addressing safety concerns - In this role you will be understanding our EHS management systems and framework - Coach employees and teams to develop a sustainable process and structure to meet all EHS requirements - Sustainability efforts as it relates to wastewater and air in our manufacturing processes - Occupational health and wellness Required Qualifications: - Minimum 3.0 cumulative G.P.A. on a 4.0 scale - Attending a full-time registered and nationally accredited bachelor or graduate program (accepted majors are listed below) - Willingness and ability to work in any of the 35+ GE Aerospace U.S. locations - Reliable transportation, as many of our sites do not have public transportation available - Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required - Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen Preferred Qualifications: - Prior internship, co-op or military experience in manufacturing/supply chain or engineering - Demonstrated commitment to community and/or university involvement Required Skills: Environmental Health, Safety, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering Important Skills: Industrial Engineering, Occupational Safety, Health Nice-to-Have Skills: Problem solver, communicator, Leadership ability, Team collaboration Internship Start Date: Start in 2027 Summer Benefits: Relocation support and housing assistance is available for those who relocate to a new city.
