Summary: GCM Grosvenor is a growing alternative investments firm where technology is central to enabling data-driven decision-making. The Software Engineering Intern will join the Technology team, contributing to the development of applications and solutions used across the firm while gaining hands-on experience with modern engineering practices. Responsibilities: - Join one of our product-oriented software engineering teams for the summer. You will work closely with team members and leaders on engineering projects - Create an approach and then design and execute on project deliverables - Participate in all team Agile ceremonies - Leverage hands on experience with technology and learned practical approaches to solve real-world business problems - Create solutions the team will use beyond the internship period - The summer will culminate with an intern presentation showcasing what the intern created and learned throughout the internship program Required Qualifications: - Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (grad date: Dec 2027 – Spring 2028) - Minimum GPA: 3.5 - Comfortable with object-oriented programming (C#, Python, C++, or Java) - Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases - Exposure to web development (HTML, JavaScript, APIs, etc.) - Familiar with Agile development, cloud technologies, and the software development lifecycle Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, etc.) - Experience with modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.) - Familiarity with automated testing tools (JUnit, Selenium, etc.) Required Skills: Object-oriented programming, SQL, Web development Important Skills: Agile development, Cloud technologies, Software development lifecycle Nice-to-Have Skills: NoSQL databases, Modern frameworks, Automated testing tools Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer Benefits: Comprehensive healthcare coverage (including medical, dental, vision and life insurance), Flexible spending accounts, Employer sponsored retirement plan, Paid time off, Parental leave, Short-term and long-term disability, Other care/wellness programs
