Landscape Architecture Intern at Garver in Wichita, KS

Summary: Garver is an employee-owned engineering, planning, and environmental services firm, and they are seeking a Landscape Architecture Intern to assist in various landscape architecture projects. The role involves working on site planning, bike/pedestrian trails, and parks, while gaining hands-on experience and mentorship from industry professionals.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in design for planning, urban design, and landscape architecture projects across all Garver business lines
- Work alongside and be mentored by experienced professionals and industry leaders
- Gain real-world Landscape Architect experience through assisting with a wide array of federal projects
- Visit some of Garver’s project sites

Required Qualifications:
- Must be pursuing a degree in landscape architecture from an accredited program
- Detail-oriented and a team player with strong self-initiative to meet deadlines
- Strong graphic (hand-drawn and digital), written, and oral communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Previous experience working with design software packages such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and LandFX, as well as SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with Lumion and/ or other rendering software
- Previous site development experience, including park and recreation or streetscape projects
