As a Security Auditor Intern, you will assist in internal audit activities, support third-party risk assessments, and help streamline compliance workflows while gaining exposure to real-world audit practices and security frameworks. Responsibilities: - Assist with internal audit activities (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2) including preparation, documentation and coordination - Support third-party risk assessments by helping review vendor security information and identifying potential risks - Help review user access and permissions to ensure appropriate access controls are in place - Explore opportunities to streamline compliance and security workflows using automation, AI tools and creating security baselines Required Qualifications: - Aptitude in the latest security principles, techniques and processes required, with an understanding of how to apply those principles to security-related technologies - Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program, working toward a degree in information assurance, cybersecurity or a related field required - Enrollment at a college or university within a 250-mile radius of Omaha, Nebraska, required - Availability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks during the summer of 2026 required - A commitment to working on-site at Gallup's Omaha, Nebraska, office Monday-Thursday required, with the option to work remotely on Friday Preferred Qualifications: - Anticipated graduation between May 2026 and December 2026 preferred; will consider May 2027 graduates Required Skills: Security principles, Information assurance, Cybersecurity Important Skills: ISO 27001, SOC 2 Nice-to-Have Skills: Risk management, Automation tools, AI tools Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer Benefits: On-site cafeteria, Fitness center, Federal credit union, State-of-the-art child development center
